Does anybody have any tips for a new music website?
I am pretty close to having http://www.baycitymusic.com ready, however, I am looking for any ideas that could make this a better site for bands in the mid-michigan area. This is an office live website so I am sort of limited to what I am able to do design wise.

Tips on becoming a freelance artist?
I’ve been drawing since I was about 5 years old. I consider myself to have a unique style. I’ve never actually pursued it as a career (although down the road I do want to become a tattoo artist which I am working towards) but i’d like to start doing freelance art via a website. I am going to start posting on deviantart.com, get some more examples of my work, it’s on my myspace, etc. Numerous people have told me to pursue it. I do caricatures, pet portraits, customized characters, advertisements, portraits, vectors, etc. A couple of examples are here:

Tips to improve my website…?
I’m looking for tips to improve my website. I made it for a grade ten programming project and it’s being marked this weekend (so don’t suggest a complete overhaul). Mind you, I only started programming (QuickBASIC) at the beginning of the year and then moved to HTML in February, so I probably won’t understand some of the more complicated suggestions. I also taught myself the CSS, so its quite likely some of it is being used incorrectly. Mainly I’m looking for tips in visual design, but I’ll also appreciate coding advice. Oh and one more thing: I want to make my main background GIF semi-transparent (say 95% opacity). I had it previuosly working but as soon as I set auto margins and a position:relative (for the main DIV tag for the whole site), the opacity command stopped working. Thanks.

I’m looking for a little more detailed advice. I also cant use flash, I used PS to make the main news animation.
Sometimes, it loads all weird (fixed by a refresh) and sometimes it doesn’t. Advice?

Whats a website with good simple nail tips?
Every time I do my nails theres always a problem. Either the polish is bumpy, it bubbles up, or it runs to the side and they don’t look very good (decent maybe but not good). I don’t care that much about decals and fancy designs and stuff like that (well I have nails pens so it might be fun to learn a few designs lol) but i just want to learn how to prevent nail mistakes.
