I am about to start work on designing a website for a small business. I am not a professional, so I plan to use Adobe Dreamweaver to help me out. My question is, for those of you who have done this before, do you have any tips about layout, general design? I want to know of any proven tactics to direct new customers to our site, or different things that can make the site easier to use and a resource that our customers will enjoy. The business is a juice bar and cafe if it helps at all. Thanks.
Just to clarify here, I am not starting an online business. It is real business, which has a website to help people in the community where the business is located.
